The Issues
Economic Recovery
Now more than ever, Elk Grove needs trusted and experienced leadership to steer our region through this challenging time. My number one priority is to help fight for families and businesses who have been negatively impacted by the pandemic. This includes assisting small and family-owned businesses, investing in workforce training, education, employment centers and providing more incentives and tax relief for both families and businesses to stay or locate to Elk Grove.
Creating An Elk Grove For All
Elk Grove is one of America's most diverse cities and Darren is committed to continue working for an Elk Grove that works for all. Born from a family of Chinese immigrant laborers, Darren is steeped in family values, hard work, and respect. Darren will fight to ensure that every person regardless of race, gender or identity is treated equally and afforded the same opportunities. This is OUR City; let’s build an Elk Grove for All.
Sustainable City
As a 6-year City Councilmember, civil engineer, land management specialist, and flood management professional by day, Darren understands how to build a sustainable City. Investing in smart infrastructure, civic amenities, and public transportation projects that relieve traffic including extending light rail to Elk Grove, building the Capitol Southeast Connector and developing a high-tech bus commuter system will create an Elk Grove that works for ALL.
